Overview
This meeting brings together confirmed chapter leaders and those applying to lead a chapter. It is a working session: by the end of the day each region should leave with an agreed plan for the remainder of year one, a named set of activities and a clear reporting line.
The afternoon is given to leadership training — chairing meetings, keeping records, handling funds that are not your own, and recruiting members without over-promising.
Theme and purpose
Theme: Foundations that hold — building chapters that last beyond their first year.
The purpose is practical rather than inspirational. Chapters fail for predictable reasons: unclear responsibility, no records, over-ambitious first projects and leaders carrying everything alone. This meeting exists to prevent those four failures.
